US Copyright Office Appoints First Chief Economist
The US Copyright Office has appointed Brent Lutes, its first chief economist. Lutes will evaluate and studied the economic impacts of programs and policies concerning US and international copyright law. Lutes will research the After researching the economic impacts, Lutes will use these findings to advise the Copyright Office on the economic impacts on the Copyright Office, copyright stakeholders, as well as the public. In particular, Lutes wants to tackle gender, racial, and ethnic disparities within the US Copyright Office.
